I mean, I'm only a week into it, but regardless! If the past week is a precedent to how this year will go, I'll take it!
I'll be back in school after taking the spring and fall 2007 semesters off (not by choice), so I'm greatly looking forward to it. And the change of having decided my major will be refreshing.
Last year I considered studying biology as a whole, but several months ago I discovered (partially by accident) a field called "cytotechnology" that involves only lab work: preparing and examining cells for cancer under microscopes.
I'll be taking three years of classes at UNT, then it's off to train elsewhere (San Antonio, TX; Pittsfield, MA; or Rochester, MN) for twelve months. There aren't very many training programs yet, so it's an extraordinarily competitive field (only six students are accepted to each per YEAR). Those are not the only locations for training, but those are the programs of which UNT is affiliated.
I'll be swamped with classes: 15 credit hours equaling about 20 hours in class each week, plus at least 30 hours a week of work, but I don't really have a choice. Surprisingly, I'm looking forward to it.
It will definitely be a nice change, and a relief beyond my imagination to be back in school.
Thomas and I have been dating for over eight months (a record!) and grow closer and stronger every day. :]
So... that's life! Still working at the bookstore, still have great roommates (though we're not home much of the time), and still knitting obsessively. Haven't posted recent projects, but I will! Eventually...
However, you can see one on `BurlapZack's lovely lady friend, ~BekaLynna in this photo. :]
Until next time.

Everyone deserves love and respect.
I've been well! Just working and trying to stay sane. You know, the usual stuff.
Take care!

Second dog says back to first, "Nope! But it rings a bell!"

Believe me. Sometimes when life looks to be at its grimmest, there's a light, hidden at the heart of things...
